Tan inherited the intricate and time-consuming art of making joss sticks from his parents, who originally hailed from Guangzhou, China.
These dragon joss sticks hold significant importance in Chinese religious traditions, as they are ceremoniously burned as offerings to the deities during special festivals. Presently, Tan leads a team of expert artisans who specialize in crafting elaborate designs, some of which may require as long as 6 to 10 months to complete a substantial dragon incense.
